For the Cake
Sift together- 7oz Self Raising Flour
- 1 tspn Baking Powder
- 2 tbspn Cocoa
- 3/4 tspn salt
- 8oz Castor Sugar
- 4oz margarine
- 2 beaten eggs
- 10 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 tspn vanilla essence
Stir into flour mixture and beat together.
Bake in 2 sandwich tins (approx 7 inches diameter) 175 degrees centigrade for 35 minutes.
For the Icing
Melt together- 3oz Margarine
- 4 tbspn cocoa.
- 8oz sifted icing sugar
- 3 tbspn milk
- 1 tspn vanilla essence
Sandwich the two cakes together with half the icing and top with the remaining icing.
